The concept is simple: choose the package of seven saplings best suited to the geographical area where you wish to plant them and the space available, and we will send them to you so you can organise your own planting event together with your loved ones.
Though apart, we are united by the same purpose. Let’s plant as many trees as possible to help restore nature’s balance—and our own.

Our goal is to plant as many metres, or perhaps even kilometres of new forest belts as possible in southern Romania.
Adopt one or more metres of forest belt, and we will plant them for you!
“Sports for Forests!” Campaign
Adoptă un Copac invites you to get active for forests by running or cycling while supporting our mission. Your effort is transformed into young trees, helping us plant a new area of land together.
The first edition of the campaign took place during Environment Week, from 5 to 12 June, and brought together 74 participants, including individual athletes and employees of our partner companies, who showed their commitment to a cleaner environment through sport.

OMV Petrom Campaign Romania Plants for Tomorrow
Since 2019, Adoptă un Copac has been part of the national campaign “Romania Plants for Tomorrow,” launched through Țara lui Andrei, OMV Petrom’s social responsibility platform.
Why Do We Do It?
For Romania
The counties in southern Romania have forest cover levels ranging from 4.5% to 10%. According to the Forestry Code, any county with forest cover below 30% is considered forest-deficient. Romania also currently needs 20,000 hectares of protective forest belts: 16,000 hectares to protect agricultural land and 3,500 hectares to protect 1,720 kilometres of roads.

More than ever, we feel the need to reconnect with nature. We spent time in isolation, away from parks, forests and mountains, missing the sense of balance they gave us. For us, the answer is simple: you donate, and we plant—or you donate, and you plant.
